Boys Room: A Blend of Fun, Color and Wind down


The psyche and concerns of boys regarding their room decoration has evolved and changed now. Now they are less concerned about their room designs and value a liberty room more. They will appreciate a place which is created for them specially, where they have the freedom to live in their own way. They find fun in creating mess and scattering their toys and clothes here and there. Here, I have suggested some designer ideas which will help you out in creating a designer bedroom for your boys that they will love to stay in.

Movie lovers:
Now days, boys are movie lovers and especially Hollywood movies. If you develop a room that entails a special rug or seating area to entertain a boy while having movie time then it will impress your boy as well as his friends more. 


Blue for Boys:
I know boys love blue tones, but to have a designing that will not outgrow soon you need to add some elements that have minimal styles. For example, you may add some traditional dressers or some monogrammed headboards to give it a natural yet interesting look.




Calm space:
Although kids love to have blushing colors like red in their childhood; but as they grow their preference change to earthier colors. As they become busy in their studies and sports, they need a calm space to wind down. They do not need heavy light fixtures and fussy lighting in their rooms.



Storage pieces:
To put their books, clothing, shoes, toys and other entertainment items you need to develop proper storage space in their room. You may invest in cabinets or drawers or you may also think upon hidden storages like storage beds. These pieces should be sturdy and able to bear the wear and tear. 



Bedding appreciation:
Boys are very visual and they appreciate coloring in their rooms. If you want to keep the walls white so that you may not need to color it frequently as the preference of kid changes; you must choose colorful bedding. It is easy to change bedding than wall paint.if your boy is having shared room then go for a bunk bed



Less is more:
For boys rooms, less decoration will work best because more decoration will give their room a messy look. Additional wall of floral décor will clutter up the room. At times, a simple wall painting will be enough to decorate the room walls.



Color tones:
You must think out of the blue box. There are many more colors like citrine and orange which makes boys room lively, creative and imaginative.




Accent wall:
There must be an accent wall in boy’s room that will help you out in differentiating among the different areas of room which could be play and study area, play and sleep area, study and sleep area etc.



Activity area:
In addition to play, sleep and study area you must add an activity area if your boy is fond of it and you has plenty of space. It will help your kid in enjoying by climbing, running and having shoot hoops.



These are some of the simple tips and designing ideas to decorate a boys room that will be lively and entertaining to him forever.
